Does anyone know anything about rules for petitions. Like if you have to be a certain age to sign them or if you have to put your signiture in cursive or print or both or any other rules you know???

It depends on what the petition is to be used for. For example, someone wanting to run for local office needs to have a petition signed by x number of registered voters. If the petition is for taking to the city council or whoever to get a particular idea in front of them and show support for it, the age, etc. wouldn't matter because you're just wanting to show a representation of public opinion.

In most cases, if you are petitioning the legislature you have to be a registered voter. You need to sign with your signature which may appear printed or cursive or some mix.
