Well, I basically think that the most basic things you learn in school will help alot. Like organizers, etc.
But you should really focus on the writing. I dont really organize, I just write.
You could try submitting short stories to contests, etc. Most libraries publish a small booklet of literature by students, once you've had a few things published you should get an agent or send them out to small publishing companies that accept students' work.

Just get a notebook especially for writing. When you get ideas of what you think would make a good story, write them down. Write poems, short stories, and notes in there. Keep it by the bed, so that if you have a dream that you find particularly interesting, write it down. Then, once you sit down and start a story, you can have a lot of backup and notes on something that you want to write about. And then just write it!

Aspiring writer also. From hearing about other writers, it seems the best thing to do is store EVERYTHING. Also, keep journals. But I think you shouldn't have to be super-organized. Most of my writng is total spur of the moment, and that's the stuff that comes out best.

The elements of style by Strunk and White is the essential book for all aspiring writers. Go to your local library and ask for it. It's a must read.
