You need to wait at least five to seven days to take a pregnancy test after your period was due...this allows HCG (the hormone that the test tests for) to build up in your body. Obviously one of your tests was a false reading.
How does your body feel when you do menstruate? Do your breasts swell and do you have to urinate frequently? Sometimes our bodies mimic pregnancy when we are first getting ready to start our cycles.
Please don't panic. Do you have a close friend you can talk to?

hey, i know exactly how you feel. My period was due on the 11th but it still hasnt arrived, ive tested with different brands today incase there is a fault with the first response but i got a big fat negative on both!! so i know how u are feeling. you could be potentially pregnant now but your HCG is low and therefore not being detected by the urine pregnancy tests. You haven't mentioned you have been to a doctor or anything so that is what I am suggesting you do, they may do a blood test, but they may be like mine and refuse and say if your not pregnant, the blood test will cause more stress/anxiety and will prolong your missing period. If they do a blood test i have been recommended to ask for a quantitive not qualitive blood test as the quantitive tells you exactly how much HCG you have at the time of the blood test. you havent mentioned that your having anyother symptoms except a missing period. did you spot? i had one spot of light pink blood on the 7th. The other thing i would suggest is TRY (i know its hard) relax and to test at the earliest every 3 days (if you want), otherwise test every week. if you still havent had a period in two weeks and the tests say negative, I suggest you go to the doctors and get a blood test not just for pregnancy but for the other things that can stop your period. This is what the doctor recommended to me. Some women dont get a pregnancy result until they are 6 weeks gone so the possibilty you and me :) are pregnant are still likely... yey!! hope this helps!

It is more much likely to get a false negative than it is a false positive. I would re-test in a few days first thing in the morning and see what your results are then. No matter what the answer, you should go to your doctor to have a blood test done just to confirm.
*Congratulations!!*

Sounds like you may be pregnant. Either retest first thing in the morning or see a doctor to confirm it.

it sounds like you're pregnant. you shouldn't rely on home pregnancy tests for accurate results. go to your doctor to find out for sure, even if you're not pregnant its always better to be safe than sorry.
