What causes the hard spots that you can't get rid of on your face?

They are hard spots which are white in colour but you can't squeeze anything out of them. I can't remember what they are called or what it is that causes them. I seem to have gotten quite a few recently and I am curious to what has caused them. Thanks for the advice

I poke a hole in them with a sterilized safety pin. Then, the white stuff can be pushed out. It's relatively solid, so I'd say it's a tiny cyst. Some people are just more prone to them than others. Mine tend to be near my eyes so I am unable to put any medications on them since the skin there is so sensitive. That's why I do the minor surgery thing. Not terribly safe, but it got rid of them and didn't leave a scar. I sure wouldn't want to be responsible for you poking you eye out (I am SUCH a mom!) so you might call a pharmacist and see if they know of anything topical you could put on it.

I call them Spider's eggs. Usually get them round the eyes. The only way I can get rid of them is to use sterile needle and break the skin on top. The egg then usually pop out. Doctors do have some sort of gel but I don't know if it works.
