How do you think it would affect us globally, considering some people would want the rain sometimes(farming for example) and some would want the sun.

yes ,soon as hell freeze . With so many forces at play ,there is more of the chance that weather will run wild more and more ,making life more expensive and less pleasant. It will B better if Mankind will find ways to develop a soft technology .meaning -instead of using the old Air condition system ,or central heating ,or even red lights to make us stop on the road ,a way to use 'open" technology .So we use weather in a different way ,sty way off products that kill to make rich ,use less of Western medicines and more preventives ways to stay Healthy ,all the way to use things that do not destroy planet earth ,Making Cars move on clean energy ,using much more of the sun etch .As for the Air condition ,I'm working on improving it,as for Cars ,I'm told that someone invented one that run on water .search for it in the net, I think -water engine - will do .

I saeriously do not think we will be able to control the weather, HOWEVER, we currently influence the weather all the time.

Currently, there are people living in the deserts of the world that are growing their own foods. Irrigation works wonders. once you start to add areas of green to the desert, you are changing it forever.

Large dams are built and permanently change the environment around them. Now you have a large body of water capable of influencing the amount of clouds produiced in your area. Not to mention the fact that you flooded a riverbed and valley to support your dam. Large bodies of water not only provide moisture for cloud formation, they are also capable of keeping an area cooler, due to the change in albedo.

Clouds have been seeded by many countries in the world. Although seeding clouds is considered routine by some, it is hazardous to the enviroment.

Strip malls have large parking lots which generate alot of heat. This ultimately assists in drying out the surrounding areas.

Anything is possible, we have already influenced the weather with cloud seeding and pollution and er.. Chinese rockets apparently! But scheduling rain is a long way off. How long? As long as a piece of string. I reckon there will be a democratic way to decide when to make it rain and when to make it shine. Then again, who are we to argue with intelligent (divine) design?

The one this us humans cannot control; is mother nature, and things are gonna get worse.
We need to try to control climate change.
I get so annoyed when they try to use natural power such as wind farms and it's us stupid humans that moan about them saying they will ruin the country side ... I would sooner have a wind farm near me that a nuclear power station any day(I live near Sizewell)

I don't think that man will ever be able to control the weather. Scientists keep on trying to find ways to play God and eventually they will destroy us all by doing something that shouldn't even be thought of.

I know China has been working on doing just that. I don't know much about the fesability of it. We have a pretty good idea of what causes most weather so we might be able to control it to a degree.

I don't think so, at least not to a large degree. Weather will always be influenced by the prevailing winds and other things we just can't change and I doubt we ever will.

of course we can control it - the rain dances always work!

seriously, if we all start to be a bit more environmentally aware we may be able to limit the effects of global warming

No, i do no longer care how a ways forward you bypass, i do no longer think of we are going to EVER have the potential to regulate climate, somewhat with worldwide Warming changing each and every of the climate paterns and makin further and extra useful storms.

Actually that was one of Tesla's theories, however he passed away before realising it.

It is rumoured that the US and the Soviets succeeded in making such machines during the cold war. The US machine was called HAARP. Google it.
