Depends on WHY they dont make the playoffs.
If they play well from here on out, but the Sox and Indians/Mariners just play to well to catch, then they probably wont get canned.
If they finish below or at .500 and no where near the playoffs then expect to see major changes on all levels of the orginization.

0.5 and 0.5. You cant blame a supervisor whilst a team is undesirable and failing - if a team is undesirable their undesirable. Joe Torre has been no longer something yet a saint and an entire type act with the Yankees. Georgie could have reported it in extra of an outstanding way - no longer purely blurting out - 'If he doesnt win this evening hes fired.' I recommend come on - considering his time with 'ninety six he has introduced you.. Derek Jeter, Jorge Posada, Mariano Reveria, Andy Pettite..etc... 1996 : Championship 1997 : ALCS 1998 : Championship 1999 : Championship 2000 : Championship 2001 : WS. yet than lower back..the Yankees have a 2 hundred,000,000 funds and havent won a championship in over 6 years (that's plenty for Georgie and a few Yankee followers.)

Torre's contract is up the end of the year, so he won't have to get canned.
Steinbrenner already stated Cashman's on the line for this season if they don't make it.

No Just Torre, Being a big Yankee fan i watch every game... And There he is joe sitting on the bench as his pitchers get shelled he shows way to much trust in his relievers such as scott proctor and kyle farnsworthless....
i would love to see paul oneil the head coach next year did you see how mad he got when the Yanks lost that would be great coaching for this organization passion exactly what they need...

I think regardless of where they finish Torre will be gone...most likely Cashman will be right behind him unless they win the World Series.

I hope so. Cashman has made some bum deals lately, like Kei Igawa, like Kyle Farnsworth. Torre has made some bad calls as well.

The Yankees will get to the playoff this year.If they lose the ALDS again,both Torre and Cashman will be thown into the streets of New York.Some say that if the yankees dont win the championship,they will be fired.

First I like Joe but they should have canned him after last years playoffs. Removing Melky and then trying to play Shefield was just plain DUMB!!

I sure hope so. There needs to be a new voice in the club house. It's no longer 1998.
