As soon as you bring 'religious reasons' into an argument you strengthen your case. For some reason us humans have this thing where something that's neither disprovable or provable made up on subjective evidence is 'truth', (namely a religion) If Shambo is infected then could it not be Gods will and a test to his followers? Its all down to interpretation. The law is there to protect and everyone should follow it irrespective of their religion.

That's a huge generalization based on one specific instance.
In that one instance, the issue is religious -- Hindus believe that cows are sacred, and (by a literal interpretation) that a cow must never be killed under any reasons.
For a comparison -- imagine if the law found out that all the grain used to make communion wafers was somehow tainted (not fatally, but still...) and passed a law requiring all current communion wafers to be destroyed to prevent a health problem.

He should not the law of the land applies to every one no mater what race or religion . All this only started to happen when lawyers like Tony Blair's Mrs jumped on the human rights band waggon. The sooner we get rid of it the better.

Because surely their religion is against killing. All life is sacred to them. I personally don't think one bull can make much difference, he isn't part of a herd, they are keeping him in isolation and even trying to cure him. There is a big difference between this animal and a farm animal In this instance there do not seem to be enough reasons to shoot him.He should be allowed to live

Yes, they're probably wrong, but they have a right to take it to court even so.
