I'd say it was just game show nerves, but the audience was wrong too!! That really is amazing.

Edit: Wow! I don't think anyone of your answerers, except me, actually looked at your link. Makes me wonder if Americans are, in reality, the more stupid of the bunch.

You are obviously of french descent. They are no doubt (in your mind) the most intelligent people on the planet. Not big on confrontation either. Maybe this is why they are so proficient at surrendering during times of conflict.
