First of all, your not going to go into labor until your body is ready no matter what you do. Even if the doctor tried to induce you right now, it would only work if your body was ready. Secondly, have your child early will put him at risk. The baby's lungs are considered fully developed until 38 weeks, so it's pretty risky to try to deliver early. They would give you a shot that can help develop the baby's lungs within 48 hours, but that exposes your baby to unneeded meds and risks. Aside from that, pre-mature babies are also at risk for infections and would have to stay in the NICU for awhile until they are able to breathe on their own. They also tend to have more health problems throughout their entire lives when they are born early. Thirdly, trying "home remedies" to put yourself in labor can be very dangerous to you and your baby. Besides, you are not going to go back to your normal shape and size as soon as you deliver, so why risk the health of you and your baby. I know it's hard to wait, but you will both be better off.

When I had my daughter I was 10 days overdue. My Dad had told me to take a tbs. of Olive oil. I blew it off and thought he was an idiot. Then I could not take it anymore! I ran to the store and got a bottle of it and took a tbs. It was about 7:30 p.m. That night at around 2:00 a.m. I started having contractions and I had my daughter @ around 8:30 a.m. I know it worked for me and I would do it again. I wish I would of done it sooner.

Have you asked your doctor to start you? If I was that miserable I would be telling my doctor it was time to be started. I was started with my first baby then went into labor 2 weeks early on my second one so I liked the whole being started thing my self.
Good Luck!

I KNOW YOUR PAIN!!!
be patient. i know that is easier said than done.
You have tried all the "old remedies" that is taught by the old folk except for one. try doing, very slowly, squats. That may help the labr to start. dont stop walking. It is a slow process but walking does help induce labor.
also, if you are that uncomfortable, go to your doc and ask about inducing your labor.
Good luck baby and kiss taht angel when she is here for me!

how far along are you. never trust those doctors weight guesses they are always wrong. the said my son was 10 lbs at birth he was a tiny 6 pounder. relax while you can she will come ready. dont rush it it will only cause problems. the baby could have alot of health problems from being born too soon. if the doctor isnt worried you shouldnt be either

I honestly believe there is no natural ways of inducing labor. Just works for some women. Baby will come out when its ready

are you already 40 weeks? Ask your OB to be induced.
Especially since the baby is measuring 9lbs.
although ultrasound can be off as much as 1lb either way, if you dont deliver soon, the baby might be too big to deliver vaginally.

I am terrified of big dogs and the day I went into labor I was chased by a big dog...
That's all I can think of.
Truth is that she will come when she is ready. Talk to her. Tell her how much you can't wait to see her.
