Yamaha Raptor 660 starter.?

I took off the cover on the starter motor and the teeth are all there on all the gears, and it spins when you try to start it. If I push it forward or backward a few feet in gear it tries to start sometimes.

Your question isn't very clear.
Do you mean when your press the starter button, the starter motor spins, but the engine won't turn over/crank/move?
If that's what you mean, then the starter clutch is bad.
