They don't mean any thing except bragging rights and that is about all, that and going to the next level. You won't get any thing for getting them and you can not trade them.
Mostly it's about helping others with questions that they may have. Giving them the best answer that you can.
I get satisfaction every once in a while when I can help some one out with a question they may have, it can be addicting to some degree.

a way of keeping track as to how active on Yahoo one is. there really is no material reward except the satisfaction that one has shared a little wisdom and knowledge with other people.
