It is Yahoo's site after all. They make the rules. Four hr. min. Who knows, you may get a better answer within the four hours.

I agree!!! For some reason, I don't get emails anymore reminding me to choose a Best Answer so I have to remember to find it 24 hours later and choose. That's not easy! If I find the exact thing I'm looking for, I should be able to do it then!

You have to wait four hours before deciding, that lets all of your friends time to answer, lol, plus some really good ones that you haven't heard that side before, etc....
It's supposed to help cases like you and your friends all want to be "super contributors" so instead of letting your friends answer and you vote them best one right away, some other people can at least answser and you can see what they wrote, at least.....
If you just like the points, go for it, I know a lot of "top contributors" who don't contribute much.....lol, if you like that title, then you will find a way, otherwise let people vote on the question???

I agree, sometimes you get a good answer to your question right away.....but you can't do anything about it for four hours....in the mean time...it gives others a chance to give you some answers as well.....seems like a lonnnng wait ....tho I wish it was more like two hours instead......good question

We'll its because Yahoo Answers wants you to wait for more people to have a chance to answer your question.

To make sure you really do choose the best answer, you have to have many more choices.
4 hours is a good length of time for many answers, don't ya think? Oh, right, you don't like that rule.
