If John McCain, a fairly popular conservative (at least until he backed Bush's "surge" plan) can't break the 10 million mark, doesn't that just prove that the Republican party is on it's way out the door?

If not, can any Republican tell me how the current Republican frontrunners (Romney and Guiliani) will differentiate themselves from the disasterous policies of George W. Bush and his kangaroo congress?

Yeah, I feel the same way you feel. I really think that America wants a change, and wants a Democratic president. I mean Borack Obama, a African American candidate raised nearly as much money as Hillary Clinton for Gods sake! Borack Obama raising that much money tells a lot about the way America could be voting in 08. I think that it is time for a Democratic President to lead the U.S. The Bush administration has been corruput in my opinion.

I think that Mitt Romney has the president "image", but I can't picture any of the other Republican candidates as president, especially McCain.

No, it proves John McCain is doomed. I think the Republicans are not very likely to wind much, but for too many reasons to list.
Kangaroo congress? New one. I thought the Democrats controlled both houses. Are they on his side too? Wow, a president who appeals to both sides. Just joking with you. I do believe that any Republican Candidate that remains loyal to failed policies and past probelms, will be lost right away.

The reason J M has not raised much money is because very few conservatives like him. He has sold out to the media and Liberals like Ted Kennedy. He has also sponsored a bill that was passed into law that many people believe is unconstitutional. (McCain Fingold campaign finance) That is why he can't raise any money. I don't know what that says about other repubs.

It proves McCain is more than likely doomed...

McCain is a good man with good intentions, but the renegade in him rubs too many people the wrong way.
