Didn't O or have AF on met alone.
Never did with met alone.
No.
Yes, after trying the met alone for many months.
IF I were to get pg then my RE and OB both agree to continue the met for the entire pregnancy. PCOS puts preg women at increased risk of gestational diabetes and the met will often keep one from developing it.

1. Between 32 - 36 days, which was much more regular than before the metformin (before metformin, it was maybe 40 to 90 days)
2. I started taking one Metformin ER 750mg pill per day, and then after two weeks upped it to two pills each day. The first cycle after I started it was a little long (41 days), but from the second cycle on, it's been pretty regular.
3. No, at least not yet.
4. Will start clomid next cycle, as it's been 6 months on the metformin with no pregnancy yet
5. I've heard that it's best to keep taking the metformin for a little while during pregnancy, since it can help prevent an early miscarriage. I think how long you take it depends on your ob/gyn and your degree of insulin resistance.

Interesting questions, and I hope everything goes well for you!

I take 1500 mg of Metformin for PCOS and insulin resistance. next week i pass up yet another 500 mg. If i'm no longer PG in 2 extra months then clomid would be further reason we are TTC. the 1st month I took metformin my cycle went 31 days and regularly its 29. such as you my cycles are well-known. Take a HPT. good success to you!
