Linksys Router WRT54G won't work with Nintendo DS!?

My friend recently bought a Linksys Router and when I searched for an access point on my nintendo ds it showed up but it had a Grey lock next to it and it said the routers security settings don't work for the ds. Does anyone know how I can fix it??
Will she have to buy a new router?

She has to access the router's settings and change the security settings. She is at the moment in another security setting not supported by the DS and I think it is the WAP key or something like that.
