Because they don't want to support socialism.
It's not the rich the right is in favor of its anyone who contributes to the country in a constructive way.
There are millions of self employed, small business that are no way "rich" . They employ 1 or 2 employees or maybe none just single plumber or carpenter. They get screwed by the Democrats every time. Just like they were some multi billion $ corporation. The only breaks they give are to trade unions and they're only about 12% of the labor force.
No...that's a big LIE that conservitives favor the rich.
The Left , liberal , social programs do nothing but make thousands dependant on the public hand out. Takes away incentive , destroys self esteem, and creates a whole sub class that the working middle calss have to support.

because they see what the democrats are doing and realize they better vote for a party that wont destroy them.
Im dead broke, im working part time and going to school full time, but theres no way in hell i would vote for democrats. This amnesty bill would probably cost me my job.
My job requires no skill, but i get paid quite well for what i do. I make $10.20 an hour plus health care benefits (and a $2.50 hourly bonus on weekends). about 2 months ago, they fired an employee for theft.. they still have not found a replacement.. the reason why this company pays so well, and offers benefits, is because we have a very low 4.3% unemployment rate.
Whats going to happen when 12-20 million illegals are given amnesty? do you think my employer would offer me benefits and decent pay if there are 30 more people inline behind me wanting my job? of course they wouldnt.
all but 14 democrats in the house supports amnesty, this is why republicans look so hopeful to low income earners.

Because they are conned into voting for the alleged Labour party, which under Blair and now Brown is the extreme wing of the conservative party. There are no such thing as working class parties in Britain anymore because morons will vote for anyone who claims to give them more money when what really happens is they are allowed to get further into debt, all these crooks who are buying houses and then leaving them empty or letting them are hoping that they will die before their debts become due.

I don't know about 'right-wing', but I vote for keeping the government out of my pocket.
I am not rich, but I sure as heck don't need a government jacking up the economy by stifling the market with artificial controls and excessive taxation.
Maybe you don't remember the Carter years. Do you really think the average Joe was better off?

The lesser of two evils.
British voters only know labour or Conservative, the fringe party's have no track record so the cowardly British voter either picks one of the big two or doesn't bother voting.

Is it because the rich create the wealth that filters down to the average earners?

There are quite a few rich democrats--in govenment and otherwise(Barbara Strisand;Oprah;etc) Yet they complained about the tax cut that the Republicans gave awhile back.

Right wing parties do stereotypically favor the 'rich' while lefties offer largese to the poor. If you're middle class, both parties want to screw you, so it's not much of a choice. I suppose, if you're voting right, you're hoping you might be able to become rich someday, and if you're voting left, you're afraid you might soon find yourself poor.
