Michael Vick has received no sentence yet because he hasn't even had a trial yet. 6 years is the maximum potential sentence that is associated with the crime he is charged with. The doesn't mean he will automatically get 6 years even if he is found guilty.

Drew,
I'm not sure where you got your information from, but Michael Vick hasn't even been to court yet. Do you know something that we don't?

Considering he hasn't even gone to trial, I guess six years could be thought of as a little 'hard'.

Well he hasn't been convicted yet but if he is , I personally do think 6 years is to long for dog fights. Shouldn't even be a federal crime but at worst small fine!
