Knowing it is still early to draft a team I mean camp are just starting this week, but got the early season excitement and participated in my first draft yesterday on ESPN. Picking second in a 10 team I think I did okay, some might say my QB's are weak but they are really middle of the pack guys, and geting Manning in the 8th round is a bargain.

QB Eli Manning
RB Larry Johnson
RB Travis Henry
RB/WR Carnell Williams
WR Chad Johnson
WR Lee Evans
TE Kellen Winslow
D/ST Jaguars
K Neil Rackers

Bn QB Jake Delhomme
Bn RB Lamont Jordan
Bn WRChris Chambers
Bn WR Plaxico Burress
Bn TE Jason Witten
Bn RB Chris Brown
Bn D/ST Raiders

Some people don't like the Jordan pick, but trust me come the 5th or 6th round he is about thing going he at the least is bye week replacement or heaven forbid an injury replacement. The Caddy lives it is only his third year I think Tampa Bay is going to rebound in all phases of the game.

Kind of tired of people bashing Eli Manning he was the #12 fantasy QB last year on the ESPN format and his stat line. So, don't believe the hype. He completed 58% of his passes threw for 3,244 yards 24 td's and 18 int's. He was inconsitent but still a lot better than many others.

Overall, about a 7

Manning - Questions about his consistency and loss of Tiki Barber from the offense raises concerns
Johnson - expected to have an off year after 400+ carries in 2006, especially if he gets traded
Henry - expected to have better stats in Denver offense
Williams - had him last year and he sucked - expected to be a mediocre performer this year
Johnson - solid pick, value depends on what round you got him in
Evans - goes as Losman goes
Winslow - injury prone and on Browns, but has potential to be strong
Jaguars - decent pick - a good D is sometimes hard to predict
Rackers - one of the top fantasy kickers

Delhomme - Panthers have new off. coord. - expected to be better than last year, but not great
Jordan - Coming off knee surgery and Dominic Rhodes will challenge for carries - risky pick, not bad for late rounds
Chambers - With Trent Green at QB, should see more looks and a rise in points - bench player to watch
Burress - Limited off season work due to injury - goes as Manning goes - expect a drop from 2006
Witten - if TO and Glenn open up defenses and Romo learns to use his TE, Witten could be a top 5 TE in 2007
Brown - fought injury in 2006 and had to compete with Travis Henry - expected to put up #2 or 3 RB numbers
Raiders - Low scoring D last year, but didn't rack up the sacks, INTs, or defensive scores - decent backup D

I like your team. I would give it a 6 now, but if LJ doesn't get traded and doesn't hold out then I would go with a 7.5.

Major weakness on your team is your running backs. You need to upgrade Caddy. He should not be starting unless he can regain his rookie season first 4 games form. He has been a major disappointment since then.

On the flip side, you have excellent WR's and could you one of them to trade for another running back. I think Chris Brown will be a good back in Tenn. this year, but I am probably the only one that will say that. He is the starter unless White or the rookie can take away the spot, and thus far that hasn't happened.

I also predict that you will be starting Jake Delhomme before week 4. I think with the great backup in Carr, it will motivate him and he will regain his form. If not, ride Eli until midseason then look for a trade because he always flops around midseason. Just my thoughts on your team.

7.5 You could make the playoffs with LJ having a decent year, your WRs and some help from Eli...if you want to really do some damage...trade a couple WRs for another top 10 RB Jags D is going to be good again...

Pros:
LJ, Ocho Cinco, Winslow, Jags, Rackers, Burress, Brown

Cons:
Henry, Williams, Delhomme, and Jordan.

Possible trades:
Burress, Evans for top 10 RB

Keep your QBs, unless you feel the need to pick up one off waivers. You'd lose more than you gain unless you can pick up Peyton or Palmer.

Good luck!

QBs-8 out of 10-your Qbs are both good at the backup level, but if I had a choise, I would go with Jake, because he has Steve Smith

WRs-9 out of 10-Your starting lineup is amazing, but Chambers is just a bad backup. Burress is good, but I would put him in the RB/WR if you can (more on that later)

RBs 9 out of 10-Both starters are very good, but get rid of Lamont. He is on a bad team in Oakland, and isnt going to get much, no matter where you drafted him.

RB/WR-8 out of 10-Williams is ok there, but he is better as your backup for the RB and RB/WR position, if you can, I would put Plaxico there cuz he will get a lot more points as the number 1 wideout for the Giants.

TEs-10 out of 10-Perfect starter, perfect backup

K-its a kicker

DEF-8 out of 10-your starter is good for DEF, but your backup isnt even worth having, go for the St. Louis DEF, they will at least win games.

Question marks with the health of Winslow, the inconsistency of Manning and what may be a big dip in stats from Larry Johnson. I like your WR's and your bench is good....Chambers WILL be starting for you, I predict. You have a sleeper team, which just may reap dividends --- I give it a solid 6 to start the year.

In a 10 man league..
I think your in a lot of trouble...

You need help at QB real bad.. Eli is horible so far.. Delhomme is going to lose his position to David Carr

RBs are okay.. WR is your only strenght.. TE are pretty good too..

If I was you I would go get Carr... And trade 1 of your TE and get some QB help and maybe a better RB

Good luck..

1 - 10 wher 10 is the highest, I'd say 6 1/2 - 7. Neither one of those QB do anything for me. Look to replace your Defenses. Do you have a kicker?

I would rate it a 6 + , Kellen Winslow and Lamont Jordan are the only picks I disagree with .
