AMDs are cheaper, but they run hotter and burn more battery. Intel processors allow for longer battery life but are more expensive. As for performance wise, they have their strengths and weaknesses. I prefer the AMDs over Intel because of their afforablity and performance. The battery life is a significant difference though. My family owns both, and the Intel gets almost an hour and a half more battery life than the AMD. This is more of an ongoing debate if you search it up in forums. There is no real way to tell which is better because the debate is very biased.

it depends on
when u ask the question
what u want to compare
how u are comparing it

comparing top of the line processors today
Price - AMD is always less expensive.
power - AMD uses more power for desktops less for servers.
performance - Intel seems to have that today. It has been AMD for a few years. Usually it depends on what u are doing with it Today Intel seems to top all speed tests.

If u are not looking at the top processors, things change. Then u have to do individual research.
