Boat was runnig fine and then I had an oil change and tune up inlcuding new wiring distributer and cap. Now when I am in gear and trolling every so often my rpm drops 150 to 200 rpm and then come back up. The rpm drops for 3 or 4 seconds only.
When cruising there is no drop at all and it runs like a clock.

It almost feels like someone is pinching of the fuel for a couple of seconds.

Any ideas on what the cause may be??

Thanks Dennis

Take it back as there might be a problem with the distributor cap & rotor they have to match or the spark gap will be 2 close or 2 wide causing a skip at low speed. Check an see if a plug wire is loose an not all the way on the plugs.

If you have an integral gas tank there is a ball valve (to prevent accidental fuel spillage) between the gas tank and the engine. These frequently get sticky and can cause sudden decreases in rpm. Fuel cleaner may help but often the valve has to be removed and cleaned or replaced.
