That's a good point. Keep having children and I will send my tax checks directly to you. I understand that as a hard working contributing member to society, you should get all the money from tax payers. Say hello to my daugher Lo-Wanda for me.

ITT: people not understanding anything about the welfare system, its history, or the people who use it. Some perspective: From 2000 to 2009, the number of people with any work rose 1.9%, while population grew 9.1%. In current dollars, the federal minimum wage has fallen 42% since 1968. Had it risen at the rate of CEO compensation since 1990, the $5.15 minimum would stand at over 23 dollars per hour. There are 4.32 unemployed people for every one job opening in America. One in four US jobs pay less than poverty-level income. The working poor spend between 38% and 46% of their income on energy costs and transportation alone, depending on whether they use public transportation or a private vehicle--the latter of which is often necessary since two of three new jobs are in the suburbs. Only 37% of unemployed Americans collect jobless benefits, down from 50% in the 1950’s. Jobless benefits have been limited to 39 weeks—down from 65 weeks in the 1970’s. Since the last time the federal minimum wage was raised, the urban Consumer Price Index has risen 25%. A gallon of milk in the inner city costs 43% more than a gallon of milk in the suburbs. Come on people, get it together and actually look at what is happening in this country to cause such a boom in people needing assistance.

Sure you do. That's why the question sounds so ridiculous and you're on level 1. That isn't to say, however, that I don't know many who are lazy and on welfare. I knew a teacher once who was new and had a terrible time with an inner city class--who doesn't--and at the end of one of her crying jags right outside the class, (if that isn't giving them ammunition!) she said, "I'll just go back on welfare and teach my own kid."

I think you are a troll.
But to answer your question, many - but not all - people on welfare of food stamps are lazy, mentally ill, addicted or unmotivated, or have made terrible choices like you (or like you claim.)
My brother can't hold down a job. I'm not quite sure what his problem is, but if I were to believe him, it is never his fault.

It's not the taxpayers fault that you decided to have 10 kids with multiple fathers. It was your choice and you must be responsible for your decisions.

I would say you are lazy because you were too lazy to drive to Walgreens to get birth control. If you say it is against your religion, then you should have tried abstinence, or were you too lazy to say no?

So long as you're feeding your kids from the four food groups (McDonald's, Burger King, Pizza Hut, and Wendy's), you'll get by just fine.

Either lazy and/or stupid. I stopped having kids when I knew they would get too expensive for my budget.

No, I do not think that just because you're on Welfare you're lazy. However, I think there are many that are. And please don't take offense, but did your husband make you have 10 kids? I'm not saying you're lazy, but I'm also not saying that you aren't at fault.

Based on other of your questions, I suspect you are playing games.
Either that or welfare pays a LOT more than I thought.
