Both a friend and I fell for the same guy. My friend had me go after the guy insisting that i do and made it so we were spending an entire night in close proximity (i.e. she had me dancing w/him, sitting next to him, etc.). He asked me out to lunch and we clicked really well and we've started dating. We're so good together so happy with one another, but at the lunch i wanted to know how he thought of her to make sure. He only see's her as a sister/friend figure in his life (his words.) i did not reveal how she feels about him on her request though.

At first she was fine acted normal and really happy for me, but now that a month has gone by she has become quite distant. I hate this now if i break up with him things between those two will be affected, mine and her relationship will be affected and both me and him will be miserable.

I just don't know what to do anymore....she's always been blunt and straight with me till now...what do u think?

Listen,

We girls kind of set ourselves up that way.....she is a little upset that you won at the moment.....give her sometime.....don't break up and enjoy your man while he is your man.....You never know....may end up being a lifetime mate.....

Never allow a man to come between a friendship just give it some time and she will come around.

She's been a great friend..don't let your friendship fall apart in any way.she's just made a 'sacrifice' for your happiness and it's quite normal that she's behaving like this..but,don't breakup with the guy..that wouldn't make her feel any better..just talk to her frankly and tell her she really means a lot to you..eventually,she'll meet some other guy whom she will love more than any other and then,it won't really matter..maybe,she's feeling a bit left out too..take out some time when there are only the two of you going out shopping or picnics or something..

well i think that perhaps your friend is feeling a little left out and feeling a little resent-full toward herself.

i know for a fact, that when two people first hit it off, the people around them tend to be put on the back burner a little in the beginning and this is not intentional it's just mother nature. but this is always temporary and things seem to balance out after the first month or so!

find a really fun place or event that you three could go to, and invite her to go too, this could help speed up the process

good luck, TOM

Sometimes a situation like that is difficult. You should sit your friend, and boyfriend down and talk to them both on a level playing field. It's not fair or right for your friend to push you, then be angry about it.It's even less fair of her to expect you to choose.Be honest and straight forward. That is all you can do.

You both think to much.

You need to stop worrying about your friendship. If you can't weather this , you're not as close as you think.

Girlfriend needs to get over it, and go find someone else. You certainly don't need to breakup with the guy because of your girlfriends feelings.
