Microsoft stopped selling Front page with it's Office product after office 97. Front page provides and easy way to make web pages for the Internet. If you want to use front page you will have to buy a copy. If you are buying it for a server that has more than one access then you will need licenses for your access amount. If it is for you home PC then just front page should be all you need.

Frontpage is a software used for growing to be and enhancing information superhighway pages and web content. this is a WYSIWYG (what you spot is what you get) editor, so HTML isn't some thing which you relatively ought to comprehend, even with the undeniable fact that it may help. you are able to create sparkling pages and do each and every thing from scratch, or you are able to choose between a great form of templates for pages and web content for a extensive quantity of applications. The interface is fairly resembling Microsoft be conscious.

I have built three websites with Front Page. One word of recommendation:
As easy as Front Page is, I highly recommend you learn HTML too. It will get you out of problems brought on by constant editing of a web page and save you a lot of time.

Ditto Chad, above; or if you want automation, go with Dreamweaver (seems to be "industry standard"). But ditto all the others above: you'd do best to, first, learn the "innards" by picking up on XHTML and CSS and javascript and mebbe PHP and so on, in case you want to catch up for the perhaps we might say "shortcomings" of Dreamweaver or other automatons...
