I think I`ve worked out the question---now for the answer!
Area = (4√5) (3 + 2√5) cm²
Area = 12√5 + 8 x 5 cm²
Area = 12√5 + 40 cm²

Just multiply it out -
(4 - /5) * (3 + 2/5) = 12 + 8/5 - 3/5 - 2x5
= 2 + 5/5
If the question is stated in surds, then leave the answer in this form - that's right, step away from the calculator, easy now, sir.

easy! For the fringe, you may function up all 4 factors. 2 lengths of four a million/2 yards, 2 widths of three yards: 4 a million/2 + 4 a million/2 + 3 + 3 = 15 For the section, use the formulation for a rectangle, section = length x top: 4 a million/2 x 3 = 13 a million/2

I've got a good degree in maths but the question is "Greek" to me.
I do wish the "words" would either not change or be explained.
