Good luck. Its really hard because they see it as their summer and well that means youre stuck with the kids.

Handle the situation responsibly, and your parents may reward you. Tell them you want to have a discussion with them, and then bring up how you really like to help them out by babysitting, but your summer is over half over and you want to do some fun things with your friends. You can maybe say that you need a couple days notice for babysitting and then do the same for your parents by giving them a couple days notice when you want to hang out with your friends.

Talk to your parents let them know that you have been babysitting and cleaning almost everyday and summer is almost over and you would like to spend some time with your friends before school starts. see what they say. If they can remember when they were your age they will see you need to be a kid too.

Well. Since its summer time they r gonna stop and tell u to babysit the kids because u don't have no school or anything. So, just sit down with them and tell them can u have certain days were u can just hang out with your friends instead of watching the kids 24/7. Tell them u need a break and u want to go clubing, shopping, or to the mall with your girl friends because girls do need to have fun. :)

I have the SAME problem!!!
im 14, and my bros 9. So everyday (besides friday and sometimes sunday) i have to watch him. What i do is I plan to do something in the evening or on the days that my mom is off from work. Or if your parent really trusts you and your friend, see if your friend can come over while your watching your sibling.
~good luck and have fun!

I can totally relate with your situation. I had 3 siblings to watch every day after school and every day during summer vacation.
I know it can be frustrating having to miss out on going places with your friends, but you are doing something VERY IMPORTANT for your family.
You probably don't feel like it now, but some day you will be grateful for the fact that you got to play such a big role in helping out with taking care of your siblings.
Now that I'm grown up, me and my siblings have a very special relationship because of the way we bonded while we were growing up. They have special memories of things that I don't even remember because to them it was a 'big deal' that I hung out with them - even though I had to miss out on certain things and going certain places.
Hang in there.

maybe u could arrange for ur parents to let ur friends come over to your house or something. are u an only child?? if ur not then maybe one of your siblings can watch the kids if they are old enough. or u could hire someone for 1 day. just ask ur parentals and i guarantee they will help more than u think.

How about explaining that you didn't have these kids so why do you have to watch them? I think its crappy for parents to make older siblings give everything up to watch the younger ones..... Maybe just start taking your lil sibs with you....
