Change you main light bulbs with the new energy saver bulb, you get to keep .80 cents on the dollar when you change them also look for the Energy Star logo when you but electrical items, Turn your refridgerator and freezer down to the just safe temps.and open the windows at night and close them in the morning to keep your house cool. Hang clothes outside to dry, if your water heater is electric then turn the temp down and put a water heater jacket on it. get rid if the extention cords. also the biggest one is to shut off eveything and hang out at someone elses house.

i think most companies use a generator but i dont knwo how long you can run those things but thats a good idea
