How can the usa ever become a poor country. There have the bigest booming industries and if they get a little short surely the goverment will pinch some from elsewhere like the oil from kuwait. Like they've been doing for hundreds of years.

What is going on is that developing nations are becoming richer faster than is America. If you consider yourself rich only in contrast to those who are poor, yes, the USA will be less rich in the future.
If you consider absolute terms, the USA is more likely to remain relatively stable ('stagnant' if you want to put a negative spin on it) - staying about as rich, or becoming, richer only very slowly.

I think that is a definite possibility.
If we become a poor nation it will be because of several factors:
Entitlement payments (welfare, medicare, medicade)
Which results in a budget deficit
Which results in inflation and national debt
Unions, which makes competing in an international market as a manufacturer impossible.
Illegal immigrants
and Terrorism (last but not least).

The economy of the USA is changing, but I don't think the war on terror will have as much of an impact on the financial aspects of american life as say
globalism
corporate greed
unenforced borders
the end of blue collar jobs which afford a middle class lifestyle.

I think that illegal aliens are a big drain, drug dealers and prostitutes in addition to the things you mentioned. I believe that as long as there are true Christians doing the Lords work , we will be blessed. During the Great Tribulation , after the Christians have been caught away, it will be destitute every where eventually.

all of Europe's economy is still not as big, nor is China's.
forget about being poor (that's silly)
there is No sign that we are even going to drop to #2 this decade.

This country is already poor. Do you know how many of the other countries go "AW poor U.S.". However they'll never be "poor", the government can make and issue as many U.S. currency as it wishes.

If you mean the highest standard of living in our History will lead to poverty. Then I don't understand our question.
