In middle school, me and my friend got along great and had lots of fun together! I understand that girls change in high school, but why is she being so hypocritical? We used to talk about the girls who changed for a guy and how much is disgusted us. Freshman year she started dating a Junior and all of a sudden she thinks she's the hottest thing that ever came around. When we are in big groups she hurts my feelings by acting like some of the things I say or do are really dumb! When we are only with a few of us or alone, she's an awesome friend! I really miss my old friend, what should I do?

Slap her in the face and ignore her. NO ONE deserves to be treated that way. Make new friends. Good luck! =)

Talk to her. Let her know that what she's doing is lame. Not to mention, that it doesn't make her look cool in front of others it makes her look mean and not a good friend. If after you've spoken to your friend and she still hasn't change, sorry but it's time to say goodbye. Yes people change, but true and real friendship lasts forever. No one should ever try to make you feel less then who you are, no matter who is around. Your better off without her. And 20 bucks says, once she starts missing you, she'll be crawling back for your forgiveness, just make sure you are ready to be friends again and that your feelings are clear.

Good luck!

here's a crazy suggestion. just tell her. i mean how else would she know. i know how it feels. and u do 2. but does she??? if she is like that u need to find somebody that would be there for you no matter how many people you're around. a true friend is what u need. i say just tell it to her straight up. let her know thats what i did and things were sooooooo much better. well i hope it works for u if it doesn't well u need another bff. im not sayin push her to the side but i mean if she gets into her little ego again u have someone on your side. so you'll never be alone

Talk to her. Don't just ditch the friendship. These are the same skills you'll need in a marriage.
Invite her out to lunch, coffee(if that's your thing), or just over to your house to hang out. Just open up and be real with her. Tell her how she's acting and you would like your friendship to be stronger than what it is, and there's no way that can happen if she changes direction with the wind(sometimes she's your friend, others she's not). Just be sure to tell her in a nice, friendly way, cuz the last thing you want is to spark a fight.

For some people, the best way for them to feel secure is to step on others. Your friend is insecure in that group and therefore uses you to boost her self-esteem. A true friend doesn't do that.

Talk to her and give her a chance to explain. If she continues then it's time to start looking for a new friend. "Awesome" friends are hard to find, so before giving up on her, give her a boot in the butt and see what happens.

Sounds like she has been influenced by her boyfriends opinions.
Get her by herself and tell her how you feel.
If this does not stop from further comments i would move on to people more like you.
If she's smart she will miss your company and start making plans to spend more time with you like the old friend you remember.
without the comments.

As people start to mature, feelings change, and sometimes the things they do start to change.
Maybe it's time to start looking for a new BFF.
