Operator error... Follow the instructions to the letter, and buy the right amount of absorbancy for your period. Don't be afraid to ask your mom for help. It's her job. Have her explain how to use tampons, absorbency, etc., and maybe that'll help you understand better. Plus you and your mom can bond and have something in common to share. Don't feel bad, I didn't start til I was 16 going on 17. It will help bond you and your mom, if not go to a close adult friend or relative... female of course.

Yes there is such thing as a tampon being to big, try the regular size or maybe a nother brand. i always use pearl, cause there are alot of tampons that just arnt comfortable . or maybe your just not putting it in properly. be sure to read the instructions to make sure your doin it right. if it still dont work you might have to ask your mom even though its embarrassing, or ask a close friend who uses them.

You weren't relaxed enough. The first thing you have to do is relax. What absorbency were you using? I doubt that it was too big for you. It is best to start with a slender or teen model until you get used to them. It can take awhile before you can get one in correctly. Don't worry, just keep trying. You WILL get it eventually. (If it hurts, that means that it wasn't in all the way--you shouldn't feel it at all) When you are inserting the tampon, try angling it towards your lower back, not straight up.

ofcourse there is. that is why you def. do not want to hurt your self by using the carton ones. use the plastics cuz they go in smoothly. Move it around and slowly compress it in. There might be some too big for you to handle. there are Sizes on tampons so you might want to either use a thinner one or smaller one. good luck hun.

Yes, there are different sizes, just as there are different sized people. One size does not fit all. My daughter hates them and will only use them if there is no other choice. You do what makes you feel comfortable. Try to find the right size, give it a try and go from there. Different strokes for different folks! There is no one right answer.

it may be too big for now. you can get slender ones as well... that's a good idea, especially at first. you have to be really relaxed, which is hard. look at the instructions in the box too. or, if your comfortable, talk to your mom/sister/a friend. it is very hard to do at first. good luck.
