There is absolutely no healthful way you could lose 40 lbs. in the next month or so. Just exercise regularly, don't overdo it, and eat healthfully, and eat enough.

I way 150 and I'm fixin to be 14 in a week. I don't eat a lot. I only eat if I'm really hungary. I don't starve my self, but I eat a small bearkfast, like a bowl of cereal (if I even eat Breakfast) and then I eat supper. But I don't eat a lot at supper either unless I'm real hungary. But I lost 10 pound doing that. School starts back in two weeks from here. I lost 10 pounds in about 1 months, so you might be able to loose about 10 pounds before September 4. Unless you REALLY TRY HARD at it. Hope my answer helps you. :)

I'm in the same situation myself.I'm currently 137,if my scale isnt messing with me,and I'm trying to drop weight before school.
But,excerise regulary,but try not to overdo it.Eat well,and try to get enough sleep.I think the health tips here are pretty helpful.
And for excerise,when I'm not at the gym,is some simple stuff.Swimming,hiking,jogging,and I also do some DDR when I'm bored.

NO! If you tried, you could really damage your body. It is not healthy to lose more than 3 pounds a week.
Just watch your diet and get plenty of exercise.

That would be really hard to loose that much. Depending on how tall you are you might be at your ideal weight right now.
