sometimes, with my mother, but i'm starting to understand that it will never happen. she left when i was 6, and i have never known her. she missed my entire life and sometimes i wish that she was around. i guess i just wonder what having a mother is like. my dad stayed single until i moved out so i never even had a mother type influence.
i've told you a little about her already, the reason that i can't have a relationship with her is because everytime i have tried too, i end up hurting all over again because the attempts have never been 2 sided. i don't understand how somebody can not want their own children, but sometimes i think that i would be willing to forgive and try to forget, and other times i realize how much i hate her, and don't really want to know her. i know....it's confusing, i wish i could know and understand her thoughts :o)

Does a relationship between two other family members count? Because I would love to see my brother forgive our father and at least attempt to have some kind of relationship with him. Our father used to be abusive, verbally and physically. It's been five years since the last time he's said or done anything to hurt either my brother or I. It's taken me a long time, but I've finally begun to forgive our father. I wish with all my heart my brother would do the same.

Yes, my grandfather. The last image he had of me was as a very depressed teen. He always accepted me, he never treated me like I was different. Yet I was at a stage in my life where I just pushed everyone away. He died when I was about 15. He never got to see me grow up, and I never got the chance to get close to him like I wish I could have now. He was a good man.

Not anymore. I've accepted that we aren't a part of each other's lives so I'm moving on.
