what is the best site for free to go to besides hp.com
because that is not helping

You dont need a driver... Windows will see it, and you can use the built-in Windows software to burn, or get Roxio.... but you do NOT need a driver.

Has a firmware update for your CD.

The only other way to get drivers is to know who manufacuterd you CD and go direct to the manufacture.

Per the HP web site your's is a Samsung SW-208F 8x4x32 CD-RW. Good luck.

Search them up in Intel website or the site from which ur cd writer belongs to
like if sony writer then go to sony website
if samsung go to samsung
