From the point of the view of the law in the U.K. To marry your first cousin is not illegal. It's not very common for first cousins to marry. Whether or not it will go down well with the family is another matter. You could just consider the consequences if you start a relationship with your first cousin and then things don't work out between you. Situations could become very awkward.

What exactly makes you think your mother is jealous of you? Surely you aren't telling us that she'd like an incestuous relationship with her nephew.
I know it's her nephew & not her niece because only a girl would assume her mums jealous of her. Sure it's not the other way around?

Sex relationships outside marriage is a sin and very dangerous. But to have it with your blood relations is in a bad taste. Your mummy is perfectly right. It is not a question of she being jealous.
But before you go into any relationships you need to exercise a lot of patience and make sure you look before you leap else you will end up in sorrow.
For your information, the basis of the sorrow we have in this world emanates from sex which brings about jealousy, hatred and anger.So, be careful!

Most people dont agree with those kinds of relationships, but obviously some are ok with it. It probably is illegal, but so is speeding, and people do that. Incest doesn't endanger any lives, so if you feel you must do that, be careful, and don't have kids. A couple years from now, you'll look back and think"OMG what the hell was I thinking"? You can sort that out with god later

OK first off, you mom isn't jealous, she's just smart. It is illegal to be with anyone related to you. Not only that but it is disgusting. How could you even think of someone that is related to you in that way. It's just sick. I think that you need you get some help. Because this is a problem. You've mentioned incest so you must be thinking that any relationship with your cousin will be incestuous, in which case you'll know it's illegal and you shouldn't even think of going there.

I think Edgar Allen Poe married his cousin. I am not sure about the law. There might be a problem with birth defects-not a good idea- give it a miss.
