Where do you find writers to hire for a magazine? That's the hardest thing for me at the moment. I have an editor that replied. So, that's not a problem. However, I have posted jobs for the writers and its very rare to find any on those employment sites.

The magazine is for a Non Profit Organization that I am starting. Its focus is on single parents and just families in general. It shows the struggles of all types, interviews people, and is basically a person's voice. It gives people something to hang onto to know that they aren't going through things on their own and it opens other's eyes to those type of problems. The Organization also locates non custodial parents who are not paying child support so that we may help those that really need the help. Check out my website parent-locate-support.com which will give some view on the organization itself. It has gotten so much positive feedback. I even got the backing of two senators that are willing to help out as well with this organization. But we have profiles of the parents in our magazine because someone has to know where they are. On top of that our sponsors will have ads as well in it. Everything else is open to ideas which will happen upon the official meeting. That's our magazine.

I'm a writer and the release date for my new book was 7/23/07. It is titled "Love's Soft Voice." It is the love story between a Native American man and an African woman who is a runaway slave. The ISBN is 1-4241-8190-9. It is filled with love, adventure, culture, and history. It is historical fiction; however, the story is based on a legend that has been passed to me from my Ancestors. It is actually the origin of my family. It is avaliable at amazon.com and I'm sure that any bookstore can order it. I'll list places below that carry the book. If you order it, please send me an email to rubybgc@yahoo.com and let me know how you like it. It will keep your interest.

Hi! My name is Debbie Villareal. I'm a mom in Texas with a chronic illness that keeps me from working outside my home. I can work at home, but it's helpful if I have generous deadlines.
Being in your field, you may be acquainted with my work. A top-of-the-chart author, Flip Flippen, has written books about turning children's lives around. He calls his method Teen Leadership, I believe. He has a curriculum for high school students, but he also has a less-known curriculum for elementary kids called Keystone. I wrote for him, 31 stories about courage, honor, respect, honesty, etc. They are in use today, and most elementary school kids in San Antonio, TX listen to my stories each week.
I'm babbling. I'm sorry.
Tell me what you need from me--a sample of my work, a resume. I think I have a few adult-type articles, or I can write something new.
If you don't mind, e-mail me through yahoo and I'll give you my address, phone, etc. I'd prefer not to have personal information spread on these pages (though the e-mail system isn't much better!).

I belong to a group of writers and there are about 1300 of us. The group is momwriters and it's a yahoo group. We have many members published in high end glossy magazines. You can look it up, join and see about posting some work.
Have you tried Guru.com? Craigslist?
This should be easy!!
have a great day~

I'm a writer. What topics does your magazine cover? There are many writers, however, you need to address the specific area of expertise you are searching for.
