Follow on from previous question -
My son HAS 7 badges and the road to Sunnyshore is still blocked (he has 7 HMs too).
The mysterious galactic grunt in front of headquarters has not appeared so no key (Veilstone).
The trouble is my son is 7 and has'nt/does'nt read the captions so I'm not sure if he has followed the story.
I have followed the walkthrough from IGN and still cant see if he is missing something. He seems to have everything he needs, so, any advice?
Or does he have to start again?

Make sure that the following things have been done:
He cleared the Grunts from Lake Valor
He's talked to RIVAL at Lake Acuity near Snowpoint.
He's helped Dawn get her Dex back.
He's faced RIVAL in Pastoria (by talking to the Grunt there)
If all has been done, the Grunt SHOULD be there.
If the above's been done, you need to enter Mt. Coronet from south of Eterna. Use Surf on the northern body of water and cross. Follow the path and sacle the mountain to Cyrus, beat him and all that, etc. until you battle Palkia. Catch it (don't use the Master Ball) or kill it (though you should catch it, it's immenselystrong). After this, Sunyshore will be accessable.
He shouldn't need to start again, I encountered the same problem, but I ran around a bunch until the Grunt appeared.

Go into the warehouse on the north western side of veilstone. You should be able to get in there. in there you will find the key to the main door. But you need that from the grunt you were talking about.
Check the 3 main lakes in the game. 1st is Valor lake between Vielstone and Pastoria. The next was Verity Lakefront West of the north exit of Twinleaf (where the first pokemon was met). Then the last is Acuity Lakefront West of Snowpoint City.
I may have gotten the last 2 mixed up but i'm pretty sure of that order. Anyway that should make the galactic grunt appear. GL! Oh and after the Team galatic base stock on on TONS of items for Mt. Coronet and Spear Pillar... You will need tons of Dusk Balls or Ultra Balls to catch Palkia. And save b4 you fight Palkia.

im pretty accurate with this answer. since he has 7 badges, he needs to go to hearthome city and bring pokemon that know rock climb,rock smash, and strength. once he has those pokemon in his party, he needs to go directly left from hearthome and go to mt. coronet. then he needs to find his way to the top of the mountain while in it. he cant go out and go to snowpoint and go to top, cuz what he needs to do is like half way up mt. coronet. when he gets up in mount coronet. he finds team galactic's three bosses. he has to fight the three bosses and then catch the pokemon palkia.

he needs to beet lake acuity and catch palkia in spear pillar which is in mt coronet
