My two brothers and I are having trouble keeping a singer. My sister was our singer, but she had to move like four hours away for a job.She comes up every other weekend.So my brother wants to have his girlfrind sing for our band, because my sister is gone all the time.His girlfriend sings okay, but it's not really the genre we want. Should we stick with my sister, or go with his girlfriend?

Okay, well im in a band and toooootally know what you mean. Dont just lower your standards for someone whos not gonna make your band who you want to be, but dont get too picky either. Get the word out you need a singer, and audition people in your area. Remember you can work without a singer until you can get one, so dont put the whole bands life on hold.

agree with the person in the band. There are many places you can advertise for a singer. lots of metro areas have places to go periodicals and some offer free help wanted ads.Just mention the bands Genre to limit the number of applicants.

Or try some other singer. Don't drop for the "Okay" singer if you know that there could be another good one.

you should find a bigger pool of people then pick the best one that fits the genre and is the most readily avaiulable. That way you feel better about the decision.

Drop the singer and just do instrumentals.

Practice with his girlfriend to sing how you want and if she does good take her.
