Well the word genuine means to possess the claimed or attributed character, quality, or origin; not counterfeit; authentic; real. It also means free from pretense, affectation, or hypocrisy; sincere. So taking the meaning into consideration and applying it to a person it would be mean to be real and not fake. So a genuine a person would always be true and upright. Never holding anything back, always open to talk about things. Does things, not under compulsion, but out of love and because they want 2.

I believe a genuine person is one that is comfortable in their own skin balanced in mind, body and spiritually.
They tend to be kind, compassionate, good listeners and not boastful, considerate. They don't feel the need to hide behind a mask or their title, money and toys as a power tool.
They are usually humble people who are wise to listen and slow to speak. Not always speaking what is on their mind but know when to speak and when to walk away.
These are people that know how to make lemonade from lemons in live. A person that gives from the heart and is thankful for all God has provided doesn't take the glory for those blessings God has allowed ..but gives Him all the glory for it.

A genuine person is one that has the talent and skill to oversee any obstacle before reaching it.
A Moonchild in a sense. One with a most extraordinary mind.

I doubt it means anything. It could imply actual mint goes into the gum. It could equally imply it's genuine "mint flavour" - i.e. menthol, which is largely made commercially by a series of reactions: turpentine -> pinene -> myrcene -> menthol.

It means being true to oneself, which probably also needs explaining. All in all it means doing things for yourself and not to impress others, having your own loves and not living life through other peoples loves.

Honest and true to yourself
Not trying to be something you're not
Being yourself like "Hey. This is me. If you like me hang out with me and if you don't like me, I am not going to change for you."
