I have been having a very intense pain in my lower tailbone. I did not fall or injur myself, it just started out of nowwhere 4 days ago. I called my doctor but have not heard back yet. I am 16 weeks pregnant and don't want to just walk into any clinic. But, I am in a lot of pain and it's getting worse. Anyone have this problem? What could it be? A small bump has started to appear. Please help

This sounds like a boil or cysts is forming. This is painful enough without being pregnant. I suggest that if your doctor doesn't get back to you soon .Make sure you are seen. This needs to be looked at as soon as possible. Pregnancy changes a lot in your body chemistry. It has more to do with you and the discomfort. I myself has experienced a boil on my tailbone during the time i was caring my first child and i remember the pain. And the doctor can give you comfort from this. I hope you get this matter resolved soon .And you have a more pleasant pregnancy for the rest of your pregnancy. I do feel for your discomfort . Know one knows how much it hurts unless the experience the same thing. Take care and enjoy your new little one .They grow up so fast. Please leave me know the outcome. Wishing you a healthy child and a easy delivery. MARYJANE51

Does it feel like someone kicked you in the groin? I feel that way and the doctor said that is was just my pelvis seperating to accomidate the baby. If it is just on the tailbone and nothing helps (tylenol) the you should call your doctor again. What is the pain like..bone or muscle? Bone pain might be how baby is lying but muscle pain could just be a pregnancy thing....there are a lot of aches and pains to deal with during pregnancy.

Small bump? That don't sound good.

My wife had tailbone pain with our first and it was because of how our child was sitting inside of her. There was really nothing much she could do about it but lay down on the floor and try and find a comfortable way to move the baby to a different location.

That sounds like it sucks....

Are you developing a boil, sweetie? A willow poultice will draw it.

Hot moist compress might help. Aspirin won't hurt you or your babe.

congrats, good luck

Try lying down on your back and propping up the lower part of your body. But it would be better to see doctor ASAP.
