ok so, theres these two guys and one girl. ok lets say the guys names are tom and tim and the one girl is sally. ok well tom is my ex, but we still kiiiind of like eachother...but he likes me alot more than i like him, and tim is the new guy, i really like him and think something could happen. but, tom and tim kind of dont like eachother, and sally, wich is one of my best friends used to have strong feelings for tim, and now shes saying "oh i dont care about him" but i dont know if shes telling the truth or not. and well, i really dont want to ruin the relationship with my ex cause he has a certain something for me that no other guys have, i dont exactly kno what it is...but hes different. but i really think sumthing could happen with tim. and i have no idea how to tell sally that i like tim. so...what do i do?

Let me try to figure this out.
There's four people here. Tom, Tim, Sally, and you. You and Tom are exes, but you know that Tom still has feelings for you. You have a crush on Tim, as well as your best friend Sally. But you're worried that if you go out with Tim, you could ruin the relationships with both Tim and Sally, and wondering what you should do.
Her being your best friend, tell Sally that you like Tim. This gives her the idea of why you asked about her and Tim, and then you ask if it's ok with you seeing Tim. You should really put her before Tim, because you don't know Tim that much...but at the same time, as a best friend, she *should* encourage you to go out with him. Then you discuss this with Tom and say that you're moving on.
Or you can do nothing about it and not go out with Tim.

maybe you should wait and watch for a while... Try making some remarks to sally about tim, that he's a really nice guy and that you really like him (as a person of course, not as man) just to start preparing her for the news. As for Tom, if you're thinking of someone else, you 2 shouldn;t be together... It's unfair for him and you...
