They will do how they always do. Make things difficult for playoff bound teams and finish 9-7 as a potential AFC wild card. And as long as they can beat Denver, they can finish 2nd in the AFC West behind San Diego. As a San Diego fan I can tell you that I'm always nervous to play Kansas City. Especially IN Kansas City!

PS: How does CAMISHAF think that Kansas City is going to beat San Diego on BOTH encounters? At home MAYBE. But twice? C'mon!

honestly, I think they give the Raiders a good fight for last place in the AFC West, and will finish among the bottom 5 teams in the entire NFL.

Brodie Croyle? Virtually NO NFL experience

Larry Johnson? likely a training camp holdout, and still rumored to possibly be traded to the Packers.

What else does KC have? An average defense, nothing special. No threats from WR (Eddie Kennison? not even a top 20 receiver), all that leaves is Gonzo. I'll bet Gonzo gets a lot of work from Croyle this year, as he will be the check down receiver, and catching lots of 3-5 yard passes.

They will suck as allways, I'm from MO, KC Chief fans are as hardcore as they come, doesn't matter how bad the Chiefs play year after year, the fans never give up. I expect to see a good season out of the Bengals, Ive been a fan for about 6 years so don't call me fair weather. As far as the cheifs go, maybe a .500 season. Doubtfuly

They're going to have a rough year. A depleted offensive line will slow Larry Johnson down and won't provide enough protection for Damon Huard. I can't see them beating San Diego or Denver at all, so 2-4 in the conference won't get them into the playoffs. If they split the rest (a stretch), they end up 7-9. That's probably the ceiling for the year - it's going to a cold autumn in Kansas City.

Rumor has it Larry Johnson will be going to the Green Bay Packers.

Being a die-hard Alabama fan, I can tell you one thing, Brodie Croyle will win you a lot of games, but he's going to lose you a lot too. He has a cannon for an arm, but knee injuries have rendered him less mobile than Dan Marino was during his last season, and Brodie also has a tendency to fade under the face to pressure. I guarantee a blitz up the middle will put him on his back every time.

Brodie Croyle??? They are seriously thinking about starting this guy. You gotta be kidding me...

The guy was horrible at Alabama. I have no idea how he got drafted as high as the third round.... I love the Chiefs, but everyone in the front office needs to be fired.

They assured there demise when they hired "you play to win the game". It's is a shame, talented players on the brink of something special gone with Dick V. No QB, defensive on the decline, no coaching, won't pay their star. What do you think will happen?

I don't think its going to be pretty. I smell rebuilding. If they base it around Croyle, its going to be a long long season.

If LJ sits, life gets even worse..

I agree with most.. 7-9 or 8-8.

if Croyle just starts smokin it up, i can see better.

They'll be decent...but Brodie Croyle needs to develop before I say they're good. They'd be a playoff team in the NFC. But in the AFC...they're barely in the better half of the conference.
