I took Clomid 50 mg on days 5-9 of my cycle which was july 4th-july 8th. we bedded every other day the follwing week, and on july 13th, i was given a shot that would make me ovualate in 36 hours. We bedded the next night at the time we were supposed and sunday the next day as well, then we've done it every other day since. I am expected to get my period july 28th, saturday. Would it be to early to test? The only symptom that seems different to me is my nipples are very sore. this started a week ago, my breasts were sore to for a day or so but now it is just the nipples when i touch them. Could i take a test now? and still get a positive instead of waiting until saturday? We've been trying to conceive for over a year so i'm very anxious to see if the shot and clomid worked for my first time.

No, you can't test now. The shot you got to make you ovulate was an hcg shot and this is the same hormone your body produces when you are pregnant. It takes 14 days for all of the hormone from the shot to get out of your system. If you test right now you would probably get a false positive. You will have to wait until at least the 27th to test. And any symptoms you are having are just from the shot.

It didn't work for me. If you have hormone issues, it may not work. The doctor might want to send you to a specialist for this. It also may not work the first time either. Good luck.

It may be too early.......but heck take a test. Just remind yourself not to get bummed if it is negative. If it is negative....a few days and test again. Good Luck!!
