Yes, just a few weeks ago, i was trying to sleep, it was about one AM and all i kept hearing was HELP, someone help me, i look out my window, and there is these two girls fighting, one is beating the other, so scarey the girl getting beat up kept shouting someone help, so i called 911 and the cops showed up and split them up, the girl doesn't know i called, but it felt good to know i helped her.

Yes - often. It's my job. Unfortunately, there are WAY too many people who overuse the word, thereby diminishing it's impact. Kind of like the "little boy who cried wolf." You have to try to figure out if they really need help or are simply craving attention.

Not that was a life threatning help. But once I was passed out drunk in a car and was woke up with a HE'S COMING THIS WAY RUN! That SOB was takin people out with a damn baseball bat.
