i want to audition for a british soap!
does anyone know how to go about it?
i know to lokk in a newspaper..which one?

You won't find auditions for soaps in paper or on websites. These are cast by casting directors - check who it is in the credits of the particular soaps. In order to see a casting director , you will either need to have a very good agent, be in a current show with good reviews in the broadsheet papers and invite them to see it, have just finished a drama school course, or have a superb showreel that is lucky enough not to be thrown in the bin before they've opened the envelope. Tough but true. Goodluck!
