We have a rough 2 weeks out of every month. She is 44 and has severe pmdd symtoms. What are the best things I can do to eleviate the the symtoms. Seems like I do more for her, but its never enough. The other 2 weeks she's an angel.

Ask *her* what you can do to help her feel better. Let her know that you don't like seeing her feeling so awful & want to help. Don't ask her this while she's PMS'ing - do it when her hormones are calm. Don't ask it in a way that conveys you are annoyed with her & want to do whatever it takes to get her to stop making your life rough - instead, do it from a place of love and concern for *her*.

You could rub her lower back. You could make her life easy, so all she has to do is relax, by doing more cooking, cleaning, day-to-day chores. Cook her healthy balanced meals. Encourage her to drink lots of water & get plenty of sleep.

She needs to see the gyno since she's close to menopause (not saying she's in it). I get horrible during my time of the month. Pain, attitude, you name it... In the meantime, be there for her. Be careful around her, wait on her hand and foot. Do what it takes to make her feel better. Consistency pays off, she'll remember what you do and somewhere in the back of her mind, she'll be appreciative.
P.S. Wait til she's off the crimson flow before you suggest she see a gyno (preferably a specialist in her problem and her age group. I mean it, that is the key!)

Take a vacation two weeks out of every month. No matter what you do, you aren't going to be able to win this one. It will never be enough.

ignore her, j/k

no but seriously maybe you can give her massages and make sure she is comfy, due to temperature changes in the body, and always be mindful that she might be very sensitive so do not say anything that could be even remotely hurtful.
