Who did Rowling orginally intend to die but didn't and who do you think died that orgininally wasn't?

Rowling said she gave one character a repreive-who do you think it was?

Also, a character died who she originally thought would not. Who do you think this was??

I wonder if Rowling will answer this question now that the book is out?

I thought for sure that Draco Malfoy would die. As for who did die that originally wasn't going to, maybe Fred?

I think a couple of people that she gave a repreave to could've been Lucius Malfoy, Mundungus or even Draco Malfoy.

I think that quite a few of the characters that did die were pretty shocking, but in particular Tonks, Lupin and Fred were pretty upsetting and perhaps were not originally intended to die.

Just my speculation!

I'm thinking that the reprieve was one of the other Weasley's. Molly or Arthur, maybe.

I think that either Lupin or Tonks was originally to survive, so that Teddy could have at least one parent around (unlike Harry).

For this I would look to the epilogue. It has been stated that this was one of the first things written. Whoever doesn't appear there is fair game I would feel.

I think originally she intended for Harry to die and be finished, but reconsidered.

i think she gave the reprive to neville longbottom and origianlly did not die but ended up being that way.... the all loving severus snape

I think she was going to kill Draco and I don't think she originally wanted Fred dead.
