I've got good enough size at 5'9" 170lb (small running back type....or D-back), fast and strong. I'm a very good track runner, but can't translate my track skills to the football field. I think my field vision is bad and I find myself out of position to make a play. What can I do to improve?

Stop over-thinking you duties and get to the ball on defense....just play ball, bro. Technique comes with practice. Just relax and make plays....

Hey man check Velocity Sports Performance. This place is awesome. They train a lot of the NFL combine participants. I've been training there for a little over a year and my 40 yd dash went from a 4.62 4.50 and my 20 yd shuttle went from a 4.4 - 3.9. Trust me when I say this these guys are the best!! Don't waist your time with stupid drills that you get off the internet. Go check these guys out. velocitysp.com. Check out the site and see if they have a location in or around you town.

Practice, and stop thinking so much during the play. The time for prep is prior to the snap - not when the ball is in motion.
