don't be an idiot and play the race card.
you're more racist than the people saying he should be kicked out of the league...they're mad because he AT THE LEAST knew that animals were being abused
not because he's black
YOU and people like you are the ones making it a race thing
if any white guy had enough evidence that he was involved in dog fighting to be indicted by the feds, he'd be getting just as much heat.

Michael Vick is one of the most well known players in the NFL the charges against are so vile and barbaric in a way I feel sorry for Mike Vick because the majority of people want Vick to be convicted before he has even had the right to defend himself if he is guilty then and only then he should be made an example off however there is no way that the Media is going to leave Vick alone it is a big story and an easy way of making money

If this was a colorblind world, wouldn't it be nice? If this was a colorblind world, Vick would be innocent until proven guilty. Well it is not, nevertheless, Vick is so stupid; he was a role model, he had a nice big juicy contract, blessed with natural talent and numerous endorsements, and he still chose to act like a fool. Come on people let's get real, you cannot have illegal activities on your property and not know it. Vick is not a dummy, just someone who thinks he is above the law just like most of the athletes and celebrities. If he is guilty, he does not deserve any of the blessings that were bestowed on him. Lock him up and throw away the key for a while. Hey this may be a bigger bust than we think; I believe other well-known athletes/celebrities were involved also. The illegal activity stayed quiet far too long.

I am not a Falcon fan but have always liked Vick as a player and as a person. He always carries himself well on and off the field except for one mistake to a fan. He tries to win and tries to carry the load and never complains. The fan was probably in band in highschool and couldn't carry a tune much less a football. I have defended him for the way the media protrays him and the way football fans rate him. With that said, I'm no tree hugger or seal saver. I like animals but put human life first and always. But this is past unfortunate. It is cruel and usually breeds the worst kind of environment. Not to mention his role model to youth. I hope the best for him. But sometimes, if it is true, you have to face the consequenses. That is my defense for him. As for the racial comment. Have you ever done mouth to mouth CPR on a child of the opposite race ? I have and many times only to have them expire in my arms. The tears were the same reguardless of color. You are the racist. Archie Bunker and George Jefferson were both racist as characters. The world needs you to shut up and get over it and drop the ignorance you portray. Gods love does not stop at skin color. Neither should ours.

Yes. These people on here as well as these activist on TV are really getting on my nerves. Don't get me wrong, I'm a dog lover and I view dog fighting as very detestable, but as far as guilty or innocent, that is up to the courts. I would also like to mention what is the difference between Ultimate Fighting and dogfighting ? Same concept, two individuals thrown into a fenced in area forced to inflict severe damage on the other one, but know one is trying to ban that. If you ask me, if some famous white athlete was accused, there would not be much up roar.
But if he is found guilty, he should face the consequences. But in the mean time people should leave him alone, talking about he should be hanged and that he is a horrible person.

yes it is a race thing, white ppl are so quick to jump on the band waggon with anything against a black man. When the Duke thing happened with those white boys and they found out the accuser was a black female all the reports Nancy Grace, Bill OReilly...they were all on the wait and see approach. They were more interested in finding out the past of the accuser, than that if the accused. When Kobe was accused and the accuser was white, they failed to talk about her past and the fact that of all the different men's sperm they found in her underwear. When its white its innocent until proven guilty. If you are black its guilty until proven innocent. I find it funny how the NFL initially said they were gonna wait until after his court trial to decide what they were gonna do, until the Nancy Grace and Bill OReilly started in, then all of a sudden he's locked out of the training camp, Nike and Reebox have suspended sales. The charges didnt change from when they (NFL) first weighed in the only thing that changed is that he has been found guilty by the white media. Not a single one of you nor the media has seen any of the alleged evidence. You have only been made aware of the charge and what people are SAYING...In court that's called hear say and is not admissible.....This is still a white mans world. White people do not recognise it or own up to it because they are well....white. Everyone jumped on the Pacman bad wagon when the white man got shot, even tho Pac didnt shot him, he's suspended for dang near the whole season. NOW there is a witness that has come forth and said Pac didnt threaten anyone than in fact it was the bouncers that were threatening him and that he didnt do anything wrong. Yet I havent seen that tadbit of info on the national news. Just local. (Nashville) Lil Kim doesn't snitch got a year, Martha Stewart, insider trading gets 5 mths, Paris, Nicole Richie got 10 days max for drunk driving not once but twice and Lindsey (who incidently screams out I wasnt driven the BLACK kid was) continues to drive drunk, with cocaine in her pocket. Not the first time either they just didnt charge her with it the last time, and I highly doubt if she gets any time at all. These are crimes that could kill PEOPLE. Scooter Libby tops them all and gets an out right pardon. You can't tell me that race does not play into the "law". There are two set of laws, one for whites and on for everyone else. I see it everyday in local court. Race is anything and until white people acknowledge it, they will never change their ways. Yes God see no colors but the white media, judges, cops, lawyers etc do.

Excuse me. Who said anything about this being a race issue?
This guy abused, tortured and killed dogs. Race has nothing to do with. He is a subhuman and should be give the same type of treatment he gave the dogs he killed. As for being a member of the NFL, I would have told Michael Vick that he is no longer a representative of the NFL.
Further, if you want to make this a race issue, then look at the other members of the Vick family, Marcus and Aaron Brooks. Their off-field activities and their on-field performances say a whole lot about the family.

Yes.
Way too much media attention.
Fact, Its his first arrest.
Fact the only witness, made a deal to reduce his sentence, for his testimony.
In many states you would need more than the testimony of an indicted co-conspirator, to get indicted on the conspiracy charge.
This is really a case about Gambling, But the media is focusing on the dog cruelty aspect because it elicits an Emotional Response.
People, you have only heard one side of the story.

i believe Vick deserves a fair trial......Race isn't what got Vick into trouble. Race has him convicted before his trial. I agree with one of the previous comments: nobody talks about Libby, Paris, Enron, Loundon County Animal Shelter ( pitbull killers), Martha Stewert, Bill Maas, Prince George County (county wide pit bull ban), Dick Chaney (Halleburton)......
If people put the amount of energy to more serious problems in our society, we could get alot more accomplised.......
Did u hear D.C. public schools won't be ready to start school on time again........Lack of books, air condidtion and heat.
Real issues people.

No we shouldn't leave Vick alone. And you've got this all wrong. This isn't a racial issue. If somebody like Carson Palmer did something like this, he would be out of the league so fast it would hurt.
And he didn't just make one mistake. He made the same mistake over and over and over again with the dogfighting ring. And although he didn't kill someone, he killed something...60 dogs.
