....ahhhhhh you just brought wispy nostalgic tears to my eyes of growing up in the projects......if you wasn't hearing guns shots every day.....ya knew the economy was bad and people couldn't afford the ammo.

It wasn't a mistake to move here! Maybe you just didn't get to the right area. And, if you can't find anywhere to eat, you really must not be looking. There are some many great restaurants in Detroit. Try looking the metro paper that will give all the spots where stuff is going on and what food is where. Get to know the city and you will grow to love it just like the rest of us.

I know you don't have a car now but check out Royal Oak on Main St.
Ask a question about the type of food and entertainment in the D and folks here will hook you up.
Wecome to the "D"; sorry 'bout the car

lol awww... im sorry that happened to you... so you live IN detroit huh? if you're renting, you should look at the surrounding areas of detroit, like troy, clawson, royal oak.. we're about 20 minutes from the D, and nothing like happens out here. If you own your home... you should try looking at the surrounding areas of detroit, like troy, clawson, royal oak.. we're about 20 minutes from the D, and nothing like happens out here. lol
Good luck and I'm sorry you got a closeup glance at all the rumors and stereotypes Detroit has been given.

Shooting out your tires is just something they do to boost the local economy -- get you to spend some money locally...on new tires, for example. They support the folks in the door-and-window installation business in much the same way.

*snerk* be glad it was only the tires. In Texas they shoot at YOU! lol, the first month I was here, I saw a car with a bumper sticker that said "Welcome to Texas, now go the f--- home." And somehow, that's the feeling I still get, after 20 years!

I happen to have two new tires that will fit your car.
They sure keep me busy selling tires. I will be around next morning.
