I want to hook up my iBook G4 to the flat panel mac display that came with my G4 desktop. I tried using the dual monitor adapter that came with my ibook but the end of it and the end of the cable for the display are different sizes and won't connect. Do I need another adapter or am I just doing it wrong??

Only you know what display came with the PowerMac G4. Apple did not provide an exact display for the PowerMac G4 so, depending on the video card that was installed in the PowerMac G4, the connector could have been DVI or ADC. The iBook adapter is VGA. You'll need an adapter to fit the adapter. Try your local computer store or www.belkin.com. See the link below for the appearance of the 3 different video ports.
