My Co-Worker is Freaking me out. He thinks our secretaries are Crazy and might cut his car tires. He parks two blocks away so no one knows where his car is. He says he does not want to be in he offfice when there is only one other person there because he is afraid that they may do something to him. Our manager seen him walking down the street about a block away from our facility (obviously going to his car) and asked him if he needed a ride somewhere. He replied "NO" he lives right here and pointed to a random house. He lives 25 miles from work. He keeps saying "I think shes crazy she' s not in her right mind" reffering to our 26 year old secretary. We just found out that he gave us a fake home phone number and that he does not live where he claimed - address on his drivers license. We know this because he left the co. and did not return our front door key. We tried to get it back before redoing all the locks. I believe he is suffering from some kind of Psychosis. What is it?

I say paranoia. He feels as though everyone is after him. He needs professional help. But something like this is hard to help if he doesn't trust someone so you can';t really count on him to get help. You have to get a professional to go to him. This can get worse to the point where he will isolate himself from everyone. Infact, I have a game for my xbox 360 called oblivion and there is a guy in the game who has this same problem and in the end goes on a killing spree. He needs help before this gets worse.

If he just doesn't have a big secret he wants to keep from everyone else by being alienating and secretive (which is off kilter anyway), he sounds as if he is suffering from some kind of paranoia syndrome. Sometimes paranoia, which is what you are are describing, is symptom of schizophrenia or else of mania in people with severe manic-depressive disorder. Or it can develop as an effect of abuse of cocaine or some other drug.

It's probably a good idea to change the locks in the office and perhaps even file a report about this coworker to the police dept and take a restraining order out on him if he is threatening the secretaries in the office. Somebody needs to get him into a mental health facility before he harms himself or someone else.

To get a proper diagnosis he needs to see a professional. Being a professional in training, it sounds like he might have Paranoid Schizophrenia or possibley Paranoid Personality Disorder. It is really hard to tellwhat he might have without knowing some of his background information but those are my educated assumptions on what my be causing his paranoia.

I wouldn't jump straight to psychosis. However, this person is exhibiting classic paranoid behavior. There are a few psychological disorders that have this as one of their primary characteristics, but no one on here is qualified to give you a diagnosis. Don't worry too much about him. Most people who exhibit paranoia are pretty harmless. Just don't go out of your way to be alone with him.

Theperson is Paranoid, and suffers, from dellusions.
Why else would he do all that ?. I dont know what to suggest!,
but one day he might think the same way about you,
why doesnt he?
Maybe he has done something to those women you don't know about, and thinking they might find out, he is afraid/
